Amazing China

Amazing, fascinating, incredible and awesome country and people.  That's how I summed  up my visit to China last august. China itself is filled with rich cultures, resources and memorable history which is worth recalling and understanding the country and its people there. Lots of negative news on this great country once considered closed to the outside world. Since opening up in the late 70s' they have prosper by leaps and bounds and now have overtaken Japan as the second economy of the world.  There are lots of catching up to do to increase their tourism industry like the cleanliness of public toilets and eatery to entice more people coming to their country. On the industry side, they are rushing to modernize, improve the quality of their products beside low price and have yet to have their own brand name products. With its resources especially the human side, there is no doubt they will excel to be the best of the world. People attitudes and behaviors are hard to change and it will take years. A country this size and a population that big, it cannot be denied they have manage their country and people well. Some photos during our visit to christians friends there.

A sturdy business woman and also a christian whom we visited broke down in tears. Life has never been easy for anyone regardless of race, faith or religion. We are all human and people work hard to get on with lives. For this woman she has some misunderstanding with the church's elders and has not been going to church and fellowship with any of the members. We visited her and show her His love is greater than any love in this world. That explain why she wiped and she nodded she will go back to church service:)

Penang Hill

Have never been to Penang before until this year July we hop on Airasia on a cheap fare and spent two days there. Two days was a bit rush to look around Penang. Alice, our ex-employee, was there to take us around Penang and also have a taste of the Penang's famous fried Kway Teow, Si Chon Fen and Laksa. We went up to the Penang Hill and few others places of popular tourists spots.
Here I put up a picture I took on the Penang Hill at 2723ft, known by the locals as 'Bukit Bendara'. The weather was not good as the visibility was hazy and still one can see from the horizon on the right the sight of the famous Penang bridge dual carriageway connecting Penang to Sebarang Prai on the mainland of Malaysia.

A workshop sessions in KL

That was what I did 25th-27th July last month with two awe inspiring professional wedding and WPPI awards winning photographers, Cm Leung & Ryan Schembri. Of course, three days with these two guys can never gives me what I want - the results and dramas in art of wedding photography. With all the intense listening, seeing how they did their works, the least as student, can maybe grasp 5-10% of what I get from the workshop. I guess from the 10% learned I continue to learn and improve, get critics from masters of the 'art'.

Be Confident. Fear Not

I came across a short article printed on a receipt from a bookstore. Thought it is interesting to share it out in my blog:) :- Our body need food to stay alive and healthy. So does our mind and spirit to keep moving and motivated to do things right. Enjoy:D

No one tries new things because they're confident about it after trying. They get confident because they did it. There's no one that doesn't fear something. But the scariest thing is that at the second, third, even the hundredth try, the fear doesn't disappear. The only difference is that each time, you're a little bit more emotionally prepared for it. Do I have the confidence? Even if I do or don't, I still want to do it. Someone once said that doing something just because you have confidence to do it isn't satisfying, but going through and developing the confidence afterward is.
